Stora Hotellet in Umeå wanted to create an underwater feeling. Turquoise blue in the reception which transitions to deep blue through the lobby and restaurant to reveal mighty sea monsters on the walls of the restaurant deep inside the restaurant.

 

We developed technique to make the graphics merge with th material, coted all surfaces with ClayStone, created the sea monsters according to the architects' drawings and sanded with a unique method to make it feel aged. The effect is like wavy stone - under water.
